Lives and works in Moscow

KK's artistic practice is based on the study of human perception, in which bodies, physical sensations and the materiality of objects can serve as triggers for memories and emotions.
She creates a dialogue between the familiar and the terrifying, forcing the viewer to rethink the ordinary. This creates a sense of uncomfortable displacement, when disturbing details appear in familiar things.
In her works, she uses elements of eeriness and fragmentation, thereby emphasizing the distortion of everyday life. Each image can be both recognizable and alien, creating an effect of cognitive dissonance. Thus, her works evoke not only aesthetic perception, but also something that is deeply embedded in our psychological and emotional reactions.
