DAILY ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE IN A SPACE OF ONE AND A HALF METERS, 2022
sheet, mixed media, 200х150 cm
The tendency to escapism is necessarily inherent in modern man, any of us from time to time needs to hide in the world of fantasies, dreams and dreams. Sleep is a form of escapism, equally accessible to everyone. The moments immediately preceding the transition to the dream state are a time of complete confusion of reality and fantasy, a deep dive into our thoughts and experiences, while the dream state itself is a real adventure, during which we risk being anywhere and experiencing a range of the most unexpected, perhaps long—forgotten feelings. Choosing an ordinary sheet as a material for her work, the artist seeks to tell a story about going into the world of sleep — a story about a state in which reality loses its outlines and is filled with extraordinary stories from the very depths of our experiences and thoughts.
